Job Description
The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting meals in accordance with established standards and recipes.The role ensures food safety, kitchen hygiene, and efficient meal production while maintaining high quality and consistency.Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking :
Prepare and cook meals according to menu, recipes, and company standards.Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly measured, and prepared.Assist with menu planning and portion control.Ensure meals are served at the correct temperature and quality.Kitchen Hygiene & Safety :
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times.Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items (FIFO method).Report any equipment faults or safety hazards immediately.Inventory & Stock Management :
Check stock levels and notify the supervisor of shortages.Assist with receiving and inspecting food supplies.Minimize food waste through proper planning and handling.Team Support & Coordination :
Work closely with kitchen assistants, cleaners, and other staff.Support meal service during busy periods.Assist in training junior or new kitchen staff as needed.Compliance & Documentation :
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.Record meal counts, food usage, and other kitchen-related information as required.Follow all company policies and operational procedures.Qualifications
Interested candidates should possess an SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 3 - 8 years work experience.Salary
N80,000 - N150,000 monthly.
