About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Lead to coordinate and enhance the daily operational activities of our client, a reputable microfinance bank. The role requires a hands-on professional who combines operational efficiency with strong leadership and regulatory awareness. You will ensure that processes run seamlessly across all branches while supporting continuous improvement in service delivery, compliance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Branch & Transaction Oversight : Supervise daily operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service.
Risk Management : Identify potential risks, implement mitigation controls, and ensure strict adherence to regulatory frameworks.
Process Improvement : Review and optimize workflows to drive cost efficiency and improve turnaround time.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with CBN guidelines, AML / CFT standards, and other industry requirements.
Team Coordination : Support, train, and motivate branch operations staff to deliver consistent, high-quality performance.
Internal Controls : Strengthen control systems to safeguard the bank’s assets and minimize operational lapses.
Performance Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports on operations, compliance, and performance metrics.
Collaboration : Work with management to align operations with strategic business goals and customer experience objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
3–5 years’ experience in banking or microfinance operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
Sound knowledge of microfinance operations, compliance, and risk management.
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Professional certifications (e.g., CIBN MCP) are an added advantage.
