Job Summary

The Assistant General Manager, Mechanical, will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical engineering operations within Dangote Cement Plc. This role includes ensuring the efficient utilization of resources, maintaining regulatory compliance, and optimizing mechanical systems to support the organization's operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize mechanical systems and equipment performance.
• Lead the mechanical engineering team for project planning, design, installation, and maintenance of machinery.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards across all mechanical operations.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of machinery and equipment, implementing improvements as necessary.
• Collaborate with other departments to align mechanical operations with organizational objectives.
• Manage budgetary constraints and provide cost-effective solutions for mechanical engineering needs.
• Prepare and present reports on mechanical operations, performance metrics, and project updates to senior management.
• Conduct training and development programs for the mechanical team to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Oversee procurement processes of mechanical parts and ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the senior management team.
