Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Negotiation : Researching and evaluating potential IT vendors, negotiating prices and terms for hardware, software, and IT services to get the best value.
Vendor Management : Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, assessing their qualifications, and monitoring their performance.
Contract Management : Developing, reviewing, and ensuring adherence to contracts to protect the company's interests.
Budgeting : Estimating and establishing cost parameters and budgets for computer-related purchases and projects.
Risk Management : Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with IT supply chains, such as disruptions or compliance issues.
Quality Assurance : Ensuring that procured IT products and services meet the required quality standards and organizational needs.
Record Keeping : Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, inventory, and supplier information.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education : A bachelor's degree in business, business management, or a related field is often required.
Experience : Several years of experience in procurement, asset management, or supply chain management.
Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with IT products, services, and software, and how to procure them effectively.
Soft Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Software Proficiency : Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly for record-keeping and analysis, and specialized procurement software.
