Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The Systems Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, analyze existing systems, and design and implement new, efficient IT solutions that align with our company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business requirements through interviews, workshops, and documentation review.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for development teams.
  • Design and model new system architectures, data flows, and user interfaces.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve business processes.
  • Collaborate with developers, project managers, and quality assurance teams throughout the system development lifecycle.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify opportunities for system enhancement and optimization.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including user manuals and process flows.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and system design.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with system modeling tools (e.g., UML, BPMN) and project management software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the energy or oil & gas industry.
  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
  • Knowledge of database design and SQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
