JOB DESCRIPTION — FULL STACK SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

ROLE SUMMARY

YHWH Vision Ventures is building Africa’s first offline-first financial hardware ecosystem — the Quantum Wallet.

We require a highly skilled Full Stack Software Developer to build, maintain, and scale the digital infrastructure powering our hardware, firmware modules, mobile app, backend systems, APIs, and enterprise integrations.

The ideal candidate is an execution-driven engineer with deep proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Fastify / Express, and modern frontend frameworks, and can work across the entire stack with speed, discipline, and ownership.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Backend Engineering

Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js + TypeScript

Build scalable APIs (REST + Webhooks + internal device communication endpoints)

Implement database models and queries using PostgreSQL / PostGIS

Integrate backend logic with firmware sync engines and mobile applications

Design modular service boundaries for third-party integrations (banks, PSBs, telcos)

2. Frontend Engineering

Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces using React / Next.js / TypeScript

Implement application state management, session handling, and UI logic

Work closely with mobile and firmware teams to ensure visual and functional alignment

Build dashboards for internal teams, enterprise partners, and administrative tools

3. Systems Architecture

Contribute to architectural discussions : service design, scalability, caching, and failover

Implement authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), and user management flows

Optimize performance across the stack (backend, API latency, frontend rendering)

Ensure high-availability systems for device sync and fintech-grade operations

4. DevOps & Deployment

Manage deployments on AWS / Render / DigitalOcean (depending on stack version)

Configure CI / CD pipelines, error monitoring, and versioning processes

Manage environment variables, secrets, and infrastructure as code (basic)

5. Security & Compliance

Implement industry-standard security patterns (JWT auth, encryption, data validation)

Ensure compliance with fintech, device-sync, and data-protection standards

Work with internal control and legal teams on security requirements

6. Collaboration

Work cross-functionally with firmware engineers, mobile developers, UI designers, BD, and product management

Participate in technical planning, sprint reviews, and code reviews

Translate business requirements into scalable technical specifications

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must Have

5+ years professional experience in full-stack development

Strong proficiency in Node.js + TypeScript

Experience with Fastify or Express

Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred)

Experience with React / Next.js / JavaScript / TypeScript

Hands-on experience building and consuming APIs

Experience with Git, CI / CD, and cloud deployment workflows

Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and security practices

Good to Have

Experience in fintech, payments, or hardware-integrated systems

Familiarity with embedded device communication (BLE, NFC, secure sync)

Experience with ORM frameworks (Prisma / Drizzle)

Experience with Redis caching or message queues

Mobile app familiarity (Flutter / React Native)

Understanding of secure element architecture and cryptographic flows
