The Head of Media Ministry will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all media and content initiatives across the ministry’s platforms, including online, television, and social media. This role is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality, impactful, and engaging content that amplifies the ministry’s vision, strengthens audience engagement, and drives digital growth.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned media professional with proven experience managing creative teams, overseeing production workflows, and interpreting content performance analytics to improve reach continually and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Planning & Delivery
Lead end-to-end planning, production, and publishing of all media content across digital and broadcast channels.
Ensure timely and consistent content delivery aligned with ministry campaigns and events.
Oversee editorial calendars, production schedules, and creative planning sessions.
2. Content Quality & Performance
Maintain the highest production standards across all visuals, videos, and communication materials.
Monitor content performance metrics (views, engagement, CTR, virality, retention, etc.) using tools such as YouTube Studio and Meta Insights.
Generate periodic performance reports and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.
3. Team Leadership & Management
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of producers, editors, designers, and media volunteers to deliver excellence.
Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous growth within the media department.
Manage team performance, set goals, and ensure clear communication and coordination across projects.
4. Project & Workflow Management
Develop and implement efficient media production workflows, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
Utilize project management tools to track progress, assign tasks, and manage multiple production timelines.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between media, communications, and events teams.
5. Technical Oversight & Quality Control
Review and approve all content before publication or broadcast to ensure consistency with ministry tone and quality standards.
Maintain familiarity with video editing, motion graphics, and animation processes to guide technical teams effectively.
Ensure all media equipment, software, and systems are up-to-date and properly utilised.
6. Strategic Development
Collaborate with leadership to shape and execute the ministry’s media vision and digital growth strategy.
Drive innovation in content creation, storytelling, and audience engagement.
Identify opportunities for expanding reach through new media formats, collaborations, or technologies.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Production, or a related field (Master’s in Media Management preferred).
7–10 years of experience managing media operations within a church, Christian organization, TV house, or online content platform.
Proven experience leading creative teams and managing multimedia projects from concept to delivery.
Demonstrated ability to build and scale media teams and systems.
Experience overseeing Christian TV or online media platforms is highly desirable.
