Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Business Strategist to define, develop, and oversee the execution of our client's mid-to-long-term strategic plans.The ideal candidate will combine analytical rigor, market insight, and strategic vision to drive business growth, uncover new opportunities, and ensure the company remains competitive and profitable in the evolving global events industry.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution :
Lead the annual and long-term strategic planning process, coordinating input across departments including Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance.Conduct deep analysis of global event market trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and potential threats.Develop and evaluate new business models, revenue streams, and market entry strategies such as virtual / hybrid event models or regional / niche market expansion.Translate strategic goals into actionable business plans and measurable KPIs for departmental heads.Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.Establish an agile strategy management system with continuous feedback loops to enable timely pivots based on market or competitive shifts.Financial & Business Model Optimization :
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess the performance of event portfolios and business units, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitabilityBuild and maintain robust financial models for forecasting, scenario planning, and evaluating potential investments, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.Review and recommend pricing strategies that optimize profitability while maintaining competitive positioning.Market Intelligence & Business Innovation :
Conduct detailed PESTEL (Political, Economic, Social, Technological,Environmental, Legal) analysis on target markets and the global eventsindustry to proactively manage risks.Identify emerging market opportunities and industry trends to inform strategic decision-making.Partner with leadership to evaluate innovation opportunities, product diversification, and strategic alliances.Monitor and report on key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.Qualifications & Skills
Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Strategy, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a similar high-level strategic role.Demonstrable experience within the international events, media, or related B2B / B2C services industry is a significant advantage.Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in fast-paced, evolving business environments.
