Job Summary :
The Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating and managing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods and materials. This role ensures that all logistics operations—from procurement to delivery—are carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with company policies.
Key Responsibilities :
Plan and oversee the movement of goods, materials, and equipment.
Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and inventory management activities.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers or project sites.
Track shipments and update relevant stakeholders on delivery status.
Work closely with vendors, transporters, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Prepare and maintain accurate logistics documentation (delivery notes, invoices, waybills, etc.).
Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies when necessary.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and government regulations.
Identify and resolve logistical issues to minimize delays and costs.
Maintain up-to-date records of logistics activities and generate periodic reports.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–4 years of relevant experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain operations.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management software.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage) :
Knowledge of fleet management and route planning.
Experience in import / export documentation and processes.
Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
