History

Educational Advancement Centre is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of Nigerian, African, and World History, and should be able to deliver lessons effectively at O-Level and A-Level, helping students develop critical thinking and a strong grasp of historical events and themes.

Key Responsibilities

Teach History at O-Level and A-Level

Prepare students for WAEC, NECO, JUPEB, and IJMB examinations

Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment tools

Introduce students to major historical themes, timelines, and global developments

Encourage critical analysis, debate, and evidence-based reasoning

Monitor and report student progress

Participate in staff development, training sessions, and academic meetings

Requirements

Minimum of B.A. / B.Ed in History, International Studies, or related discipline

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Ability to simplify historical concepts and engage students

Knowledge of exam formats and curriculum standards

Passion for teaching and mentoring young learners

Previous experience teaching exam classes is an added advantage
