We are seeking a Business Consultant (Finance & Infrastructure) to deliver world-class advisory support across strategy, commercial structuring, and project development. This role is ideal for a former consultant with strong analytical depth, financial modeling expertise, and experience advising clients in infrastructure, energy, or capital-intensive sectors.
Role Summary
The Business Consultant will serve as a core member of the strategy and investment team, responsible for analyzing client businesses and projects to the highest technical and financial standards. You will evaluate commercial models, identify operational inefficiencies, and develop actionable recommendations that directly inform executive decisions and investor engagements.
This role combines management consulting precision with infrastructure and financial acumen, offering exposure to top-tier government, corporate, and international development partners.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy, Growth & Corporate Advisory
Lead strategic assessments, business model reviews, and corporate transformation projects.
Develop market-entry, expansion, and diversification strategies for clients and internal portfolio companies.
Conduct financial feasibility and economic impact studies for infrastructure, industrial, and energy projects.
Prepare board-level and investor-ready presentations, including strategic options and valuation implications.
2. Financial & Commercial Analysis
Build detailed financial models (DCF, IRR, NPV, payback, sensitivity) for project and business evaluation.
Analyze cost structures, pricing models, and investment returns to support decision-making.
Support project finance documentation including feasibility studies, business cases, and investor teasers.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to align business outcomes with financial targets.
3. Infrastructure & Project Evaluation
Conduct technical and financial due diligence for large-scale infrastructure and energy projects.
Evaluate PPP structures, concession frameworks, and financing mechanisms.
Liaise with EPC contractors, banks, DFIs, and regulators to structure viable and bankable projects.
Assess risks and propose mitigation strategies for project execution and financing.
4. Research, Insights & Policy
Lead market, policy, and sectoral research to guide investment and strategic decisions.
Track emerging infrastructure trends, technologies, and financing innovations in Africa and globally.
Develop benchmarking reports and intelligence decks for internal and external stakeholders.
5. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Interface directly with senior executives, government agencies, investors, and multilateral partners.
Present insights, recommendations, and models with clarity and precision.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a quantitative STEM field.
MBA, MSc Finance, or related advanced degree from a reputable institution is strongly preferred.
Experience
7–10+ years of total experience, with at least 3–5 years in management consulting or advisory.
Prior experience in a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, PwC, EY, Deloitte, KPMG).
Proven track record in infrastructure finance, project evaluation, or economic modeling.
Exposure to energy, transportation, manufacturing, or public-private infrastructure sectors.
Experience advising companies or projects with ₦5 billion+ in annual revenue or capex scale.
Core Competencies
Exceptional analytical and quantitative modeling ability (Excel, Power BI, or equivalent).
Strong command of corporate finance, valuation, and economic analysis.
Ability to synthesize complex data into clear business recommendations.
Excellent writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving and structured-thinking mindset typical of Tier-1 consultants.
Capacity to work independently under pressure with high attention to detail and quality.

Salary : ₦800,000 – ₦1,300,000 monthly (based on experience and performance).
