Bakery Solutions Nigeria Limited (BreadMeal) is a Food and Bakery based business which produces premium quality class of bread for the excitement and consumption by the general public.

The underlisted position has become vacant due to ongoing restructuring of the company's operations

Role : Factory Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION

Successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of task, including Team Development, Production operations Accounting & reporting, Sales Accounting & Revenue Assurance, Compliance and Statutory reporting, Internal Controls, Process improvement and Sustainability.

Reports directly to the General Manager.

Essential Functions

1. Organize and oversees the company overall finance function, attract key talents to form a formidable finance structure to ensure close alignment to business needs and changes in processes.

2. Develop / Supervise robust and effective business strategies and plans that will support full process optimization with strong process assurance to expose & minimize loss and leakages.

3. Full responsibility and custody of the general ledger, this includes maintenance of the Accounts Payable and Receivables, Bank reconciliations, Inventory Management and movement reconciliations.

4. Review and ensure proper approvals for all payments, ensuring proper classification and coding for all transactions including the petty cash system and reimbursements.

5. Periodically assess the company’s financial management needs and current capabilities, determines proactively, gaps and develops plans to bridge them

6. Responsible for Budgeting & budgetary reviews, financial controls, reporting and other financial management processes.

7. Ensures the development of strong finance capability (an ability to translate business decisions into numbers / financial metrics) precisely analyzes results of bakery operations, determines variances from standard, and takes corrective action as needed.

8. Provide stewardship for the business internal control framework and process assurance, supporting the business for effective compliance with both internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.

9. Manage flawlessly, annual statutory audits and tax compliance audit processes.

REQUIREMENTS :

• BSc / HND in Accounting or related field
• ACA / ACCA is added advantage
• Minimum of Three (3) years work experience in core manufacturing company (Experience in Management Accounting reporting is critical)
• Must be conversant with an ERP (QuickBooks preferable) and very proficient in MS office.
