Job Summary

We are looking to hire a Breeder / Fish farm Manager who will be responsible for managing our farm.

Minimum Qualification : HND
Experience Level : Mid level
Experience Length : 5 years

Job Description / Requirements

Responsibilities :

Develop and implement a plan for, and be engaged in, continuous catfish (or

other fish as may be specified) production, from spawning / hatching, through to

grow-out, to table size and processing and packaging (smoked and fresh) for sale

Supervising and superintending, all aspects of continuous catfish (or other fish)

production, including water quality, health management, planning for inputs and utilization of staff of the Fisheries Section, and fish feed formulation and production, and facilities management.

Budgeting and financial planning related to the foregoing

Managing of fish ponds and habitats.

Stock health and welfare issues both for the fish and the working staff in the fish farm.

Ensure that the fish are fed at the right meal times and right meal quantities.

Supervised maintenance of equipment and fish cages.

Conduct sale of fingerlings and mature fish to customers and consumers

Requirements :

Possess HND or Degree in fisheries or a closely related field

Minimum of 5 years post-qualification hands-on experience.

Candidate must be willing to work and live in a very remote location in Ido Local Government of Oyo State

Have enthusiasm for fish and their welfare.

Environment and nature conservation are conscious.

Have knowledge about administrative and managerial fish farming procedures.

Possess well organizational, communication, and personality and the ability to do tasks under a stress full environment.

Ability to maintain a strict fish production schedule and plan

Salary : NGN150,000
