General Manager (GM)

About he Role : The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across all branches, driving sales growth, ensuring branch efficiency, and aligning daily operations with the company’s vision.
Responsibilities :
Provide strategic and operational leadership across all branches.
Supervise Regional Coordinators and ensure operational efficiency.
Drive sales growth and market expansion in Abuja.
Oversee logistics, supply chain, and branch performance.
Work with the Accountant and CFO to ensure financial discipline.
Prepare and present performance reports to the COO / CEO.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or related field (Master’s / MBA is an advantage).
Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in retail, FMCG, or distribution (with at least 3 years in a leadership role).
Strong background in sales, operations, and team management.
Knowledge of supply chain and cold-chain logistics is an added advantage.
Proven track record of meeting growth and profitability targets.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Day-to-Day Activities :
1.Morning check-in with Regional Coordinators for branch updates.
2.Review previous day’s sales and stock reports.
3.Approve procurement demands / distribution schedules.
4.Liaise with Accountant on daily financial reconciliations and cash flow.
5.Handle escalated staff or customer issues.
6.Conduct branch performance spot checks.
7.Prepare short reports for the Board.
