The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring clean, orderly, and well-maintained guest rooms and public areas. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering excellent guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Rooms & Public Areas
Clean, organize, and maintain guest rooms daily according to hotel standards.
Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock amenities.
Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces and floors.
Ensure bathrooms are cleaned, disinfected, and well-stocked.
Report any maintenance issues or damaged items to the supervisor immediately.
Ensure all assigned areas (corridors, lobbies, staircases) remain tidy and clean.
Operational Duties
Follow daily cleaning schedules and room assignment lists.
Handle guest requests politely and promptly.
Ensure proper use and care of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping carts, store rooms, and equipment.
Adhere to safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
Inventory & Reporting
Keep track of room status and update the housekeeping supervisor when rooms are cleaned or inspected.
Assist with inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and amenities.
Report lost and found items immediately according to hotel procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a hotel is an advantage.
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical stamina to handle manual tasks for long periods.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
