The Operations Supervisor oversees daily operational activities to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service delivery within the organization. This role involves coordinating staff, monitoring workflow, implementing standard operating procedures, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure all departments / functions run efficiently.
Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve productivity.
Ensure adherence to operational policies, procedures, and service standards.
Prepare and submit operational reports, logs, and updates to management.
Staff Supervision
Supervise, guide, and support staff to ensure optimum performance.
Organize duty rosters, shift schedules, and task assignments.
Conduct training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Promote teamwork, discipline, and professional conduct among staff.
Quality Assurance
Ensure customer service standards are met and exceeded at all times.
Monitor service delivery quality and promptly resolve issues or service gaps.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Inventory & Resource Management
Monitor the use of equipment, tools, and materials to prevent misuse or wastage.
Ensure proper record-keeping and timely replenishment of supplies.
Collaborate with procurement for stock requests and vendor management.
Reporting & Compliance
Enforce compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Investigate and document incidents, complaints, or operational issues.
Provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management.
Qualifications & Requirements
OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Management, or related field.
2–5 years experience in operations, supervision, or a similar role.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
