Job Summary :

A fast-growing retail store in Guzape, Abuja is seeking to hire dependable and hardworking Butchering / Fruits & Veggies Attendants to join its team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring the proper preparation, display, and storage of fresh meat, fruits, and vegetables while providing excellent customer service. This role requires individuals who are attentive to detail, maintain high hygiene standards, and can thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Cut, trim, and prepare meat and poultry according to store and hygiene standards.

Receive, sort, and properly display fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

Ensure all products are fresh, clean, and attractively presented.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in both the butchery and produce areas.

Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers regarding product selection and preparation.

Weigh, package, and label items accurately.

Monitor product quality, remove expired or damaged goods, and minimize waste.

Rotate stock regularly and maintain accurate inventory levels.

Ensure correct pricing, signage, and labeling on all items.

Assist with restocking, storage, and daily cleaning tasks.

Report stock shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the supervisor.

Requirements :

Minimum of SSCE / OND qualification.

3-5 years of experience in butchery, produce handling, or retail grocery preferred.

Good knowledge of meat cuts, produce varieties, and food safety standards.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy items safely.

Excellent personal hygiene and neat appearance.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.

Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as required.

Reliable, punctual, and customer-service oriented.
