Job Title : EDI Integration Specialist (Lobster_data Platform) – Remote
Role Summary :
We are seeking an EDI Integration Specialist with hands-on production experience in the Lobster_data platform to support international clients in logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain industries. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in designing, deploying, and maintaining Lobster_data-based workflows for EDI automation, ERP integration, and partner onboarding. This client-facing role requires both technical excellence and strong communication skills, ensuring seamless integration with trading partners, suppliers, and internal systems.
Core Responsibilities :
- Design, configure, and deploy EDI workflows using Lobster_data platform, ensuring seamless integration with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Build and maintain data integrations between ERP systems and external trading partners using Lobster_data connectors, supporting file formats like EDIFACT, X12, XML, JSON, CSV.
- Automate partner onboarding processes (customers, suppliers, logistics) via Lobster_data connectors, improving efficiency and compliance with EDI standards.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Lobster_data message flows in production environments. Implement best practices for logging, error handling, retries, and monitoring dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards including UN / EDIFACT, ANSI X12, GS1, VDA, Odette, and TRADACOMS.
- Design and implement API-first integration solutions (REST / GraphQL), facilitating modern integration across systems and platforms.
- Collaborate with business analysts, clients, and internal teams to gather integration requirements and translate them into practical Lobster_data solutions.
- Document EDI flows, mappings, and partner agreements to support governance and audits.
- Provide L2 / L3 support for mission-critical EDI workflows, resolving incidents and driving continuous improvement.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing and best practices in EDI automation, Lobster_data platform usage, and integration processes.
Must-Have Skills :
Direct production experience with Lobster_data platform (minimum 2 years).Proven ability to implement EDI standards : EDIFACT, X12, VDA, GS1, TRADACOMS, Odette.Hands-on ERP integration experience (SAP IDoc, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).Strong knowledge of file formats : XML, JSON, CSV, Flat Files.Experience with mapping and transformation using Lobster_data (drag-and-drop, XSLT, rule-based transformations).Familiarity with transport protocols : AS2, SFTP, OFTP2, HTTP(S), API / Webservices.Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) for automation and debugging.Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting EDI workflows in production environments.Nice-to-Have Skills :
Experience with supply chain / logistics EDI scenarios (Orders, Despatch, Invoice, ASN).Knowledge of integration platforms like MuleSoft, Seeburger, Boomi, Axway, Talend.Experience with API-first integration (REST / GraphQL, Swagger).Cloud deployment experience (Azure Integration Services, AWS, GCP) and familiarity with cloud-native integration solutions.Familiarity with event-driven architectures using tools like Apache Kafka for real-time messaging.Knowledge of data governance and metadata management.German or Dutch language skills (many Lobster clients are in the DACH / Benelux regions).Certifications :
Lobster_data certification (preferred).EDI standards certifications (GS1, UN / EDIFACT).ERP-related certifications (SAP integration, Microsoft Dynamics).Soft Skills & Team Fit :
