Procurement Officer Location: Victoria Island (VI), Lagos Industry: Healthcare / Medical Salary Range: ₦150,000 – ₦300,000 (Monthly) Experience: 4 – 6 years Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing medical and non-medical supplies required for the smooth operation of the healthcare facility. This role ensures cost-effectiveness, quality assurance, timely delivery, and compliance with internal policies and healthcare standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with organizational needs. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers for medical consumables, equipment, and services. Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and maintain accurate procurement documentation. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of items to prevent stock-outs and service disruptions. Conduct supplier performance reviews and maintain approved vendor lists. Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of medical supplies. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory standards, and ethical practices. Collaborate with finance, stores, and clinical departments for budget control and demand planning. Resolve procurement-related issues, delays, or discrepancies promptly. Prepare procurement reports and support audits when required. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of HND/BSc in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 4–6 years proven experience in procurement, preferably within healthcare or medical environments. Professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, or similar) are an added advantage. Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills. Good knowledge of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and procurement best practices. Proficiency in MS Office and inventory/procurement systems. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
