Job Title : Store Merchandiser / Sales Associate

Department : Retail / Sales

Reports To : Store Supervisor / Retail Manager

Location : Ikeja City Mall, Lekki, Abuja & P / H

Job Summary :

The Store Merchandizer / Sales Associate is responsible for attending to customers promptly, displaying merchandise attractively, and promoting sales through excellent product knowledge and customer service. The role ensures customers have a pleasant shopping experience while supporting the store in meeting its sales targets and maintaining brand standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Customer Service & Sales

  • Attend to customers courteously upon arrival and provide product guidance based on their needs and preferences.
  • Educate customers on product features, available sizes, and styling options.
  • Convince and encourage customers to make purchases through product knowledge and persuasive communication.
  • Upsell and cross-sell complementary items to increase sales value.
  • Process customer payments accurately using the store’s ERP system or POS software.
  • Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Notify customers about new arrivals, special offers, and discounts.
  • Build and maintain good customer relationships to encourage repeat visits.

Merchandising & Display

  • Dress mannequins and arrange displays to attract customer attention in line with store guidelines.
  • Ensure the sales floor is neat, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
  • Replenish shelves and display racks as needed.
  • Maintain correct price tags and promotional signage on all items.

    • Inventory & Store Maintenance

  • Support in receiving and unpacking new stock deliveries.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report low stock, damaged, or missing items.
  • Keep changing rooms and the sales area tidy and well-organized.
  • Follow all store policies, security, and operational procedures.

    • Qualifications and Skills :

  • Minimum of HND / B.Sc. in any discipline.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in retail sales, preferably in a clothing or fashion store.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong persuasion and customer relationship skills.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP or POS systems.
  • A keen sense of fashion and attention to detail.
  • Energetic, proactive, and sales-driven personality.

    • Salary : N100,000 / N130,000 net monthly.
