Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Language Teacher to join our educational institution in Benin City, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching English and committed to fostering a positive learning environment for students.

Develop and deliver engaging English language lessons for students of various proficiency levels
Create and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials aligned with educational standards
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their language development
Utilize diverse teaching methods and technologies to accommodate different learning styles
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress
Provide additional support to students through one-on-one tutoring or small group sessions as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field

Proven teaching experience, preferably in English

Native-level fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation

Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management

Familiarity with language acquisition theories and modern teaching methodologies

Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity

Proficiency in using educational technology and multimedia resources in the classroom

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Patience, creativity, and adaptability in addressing diverse student needs
