Job Summary :
The Facility Manager is responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, safety, and functionality of all company facilities. The role ensures that buildings, utilities, equipment, and support services operate smoothly, safely, and cost-effectively while supporting business operations.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee daily operations of buildings, offices, showrooms, and facilities
- Ensure regular maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general infrastructure
- Supervise repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance schedules
2. Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulationsConduct routine safety inspections and risk assessmentsManage fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, and incident reporting3. Vendor & Contractor Management
Manage service providers such as cleaners, security, technicians, and maintenance contractorsNegotiate service agreements and monitor vendor performanceEnsure contractors comply with company standards and safety requirements4. Asset & Equipment Management
Maintain inventory of company assets, equipment, and facility toolsEnsure proper use, storage, and maintenance of assetsTrack asset lifecycle, repairs, and replacements5. Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare and manage facility budgets and operating costsMonitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiativesApprove facility-related purchases within budget limits6. Space & Utilities Management
Manage space allocation and layout planningMonitor utilities usage (power, water, internet, fuel) and optimize consumptionEnsure uninterrupted utility services7. Staff & Service Supervision
Supervise facility staff including cleaners, security, technicians, and support personnelAssign duties, monitor performance, and ensure disciplineCoordinate staff schedules and attendance8. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate facility records, maintenance logs, and service reportsPrepare periodic reports for management on facility condition and costsSupport audits and inspections with proper documentationRequirements & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree / HND in Engineering, Facilities Management, Estate Management, or related fieldProven experience in facility or property managementKnowledge of building systems, maintenance processes, and safety regulationsStrong organizational, supervisory, and problem-solving skillsGood communication and vendor management skillsKey Skills & Competencies :
