Mechanical Technician

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance team in a dynamic paper manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, repair, and maintenance of all mechanical equipment within the mill. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting production efficiency, and ensuring safe working practices across the facility.

Key Responsibilities :

• Carry out routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
• Inspect and service paper machines, hydraulic systems, and other mill machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and recommend effective corrective actions.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to the plant’s maintenance schedule.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report all breakdowns promptly.
• Work closely with the electrical and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and procedures.
