JOB SUMMARY
The Officer, GBV Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) will support implementation of GBV-oriented livelihoods / economic empowerment activities related to a specific project or site of implementation.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Planning
- Work closely with GBV Coordinator / Manager / Deputy Manager, staff team, local partners, and community stakeholders, as relevant, to plan WEE program interventions.
- Support GBV, livelihoods assessments as required.
- Coordinate with government focal points, local partners, and women’s networks, as appropriate
Capacity Building and Implementation
Lead implementation of relevant WEE activities, including implementation of specific approaches as relevant, e.g., EA$E, VSLA, business development, vocational trainingEnsure effective community participation throughout implementation, including leadership of women.Train staff, partners, and cross-sector actors, as relevantOversee distribution of resources, as relevantSupport community volunteers engaged for GBV outreach, where relevantSafely integrate survivors of GBV into WEE activitiesRespond with compassion and discretion to anyone who discloses GBV or need for individual support; ensure appropriate service referrals.Human Resources Management
Recruit and supervise facilitators and support staff, where relevantTrain and coach staffDevelop support strategies for GBV staff, foster teambuilding, and support principles of self-care.Monitoring and Reporting
Seek and analyse assessment results and community feedback and adapt activities accordingly.Monitor protection risks associated with WEE interventions and adapt activities, provide referrals, accordingly.Oversee post-distribution monitoring, where relevantMonitor and document WEE program activities.Contribute to internal and external reports.Coordination, Advocacy and Representation
Coordinate regularly with the GBV Coordinator / Manager and participate, as required, in broader team meetings.Promote a survivor-centred approach in all internal and external coordination meetings.Represent program goals and GBV standards.Security and Conduct
Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies.Foster a safe and supportive working environment for all GBV staff and partners.Exemplify core principles of GBV programming, including respect, non-discrimination, responsible use of power, nonviolence, and promotion of gender equality.Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the program and organization, notably through adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics, including compliance with anti-harassment, safeguarding and PSEA policies.Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The training will be led by the EASE officer who is also responsible for overseeing all EA$E activities (VSLA, DGs, Business Skills) and direct supervision of supervisors and community workers. The qualification required for this is University degree in international or community development, business administration, social work and social administration or related field.Typically, 2+ years of WEE-related experience required; Relevant academic experience preferred.Demonstrated commitment to core principles of GBV programming, including gender equality and survivor-centered support services.Familiarity with relevant GBV WEE standards, approaches, and toolsTraining and facilitation experienceGood interpersonal and advocacy skillsFamiliarity with government and NGO service providersAbility to exercise sound judgment, remain flexible, and apply experience and guidance to evolving challenges.Strong communication skillsFluent in written and spoken English and local language requirements.Additional Technical or Language Requirements
