Job descriptionSupervise on site installation works (nighttime operations – 4 to 5 local teams) Act as the primary point of contact for local authorities and represent the European supplier Ensure technical compliance and adherence to deadlines Monitor progress, handle unexpected issues, and provide regular reporting Minimum 15 years of experience in public lighting and or renewable energy Strong knowledge of solar technologies, wiring, and multi stakeholder site supervision High level of autonomy and ability to manage a site independently Comfortable working in multicultural and institutional environments Fluent French and English required Duration : 4 months Start date : immediate or no later than October 1st, 2025 Location : Nigeria Status : Independent consultant or umbrella company Package : accommodation and vehicle provided by the end client Compensation : to be discussed
A leading French company specializing in public lighting equipment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the operational follow up of a solar lighting project in Nigeria.
The Project
- Installation of 400+ solar streetlights along a 30 km highway leading to an international airport
- Equipment supplied by a French manufacturer, installation carried out by a local contractor
- High visibility project with institutional stakeholders, linked to an inauguration planned for December 2025
