SAP MDM Analyst (FI / CO)

SAP MDM (Master Data Management) Analyst with expertise in Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP MDM processes, tools, and best practices, with a focus on managing financial master data. This role involves analyzing, maintaining, and improving master data quality to ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable data across the organization. The SAP MDM Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations, enhance data governance, and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Master Data Management and Analysis :

o Analyze, validate, and maintain financial master data in SAP MDM systems (General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Asset Master Data).

o Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across SAP and non-SAP systems.

o Perform data cleansing, enrichment, and deduplication activities to improve data quality.

2. Finance and Controlling Expertise :

o Work closely with the Finance and Controlling teams to understand their master data requirements.

o Support the integration of financial master data with SAP modules such as FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling).

o Resolve data-related issues and provide root cause analysis.

3. Data Governance and Compliance :

o Follow established data governance policies, standards, and procedures.

o Monitor and report on data quality metrics to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

o Assist in the development and enforcement of data governance frameworks.

4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management :

o Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to deliver MDM solutions.

o Conduct training sessions to educate users on MDM processes and tools.

o Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment of MDM strategies with business goals.

5. Project Support :

o Participate in MDM projects, including requirements gathering, data migration, testing, and deployment.

o Support the implementation of new MDM tools and technologies.

o Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on project progress.

6. Technical Expertise :

o Utilize SAP MDM tools and technologies (SAP MDG, SAP Information Steward, SAP Data Services) to manage and analyze master data.

o Develop and maintain data models, workflows, and validation rules.

o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MDM systems.

7. Continuous Improvement :

o Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the MDM landscape.

o Stay updated on the latest SAP MDM trends, tools, and best practices.

o Recommend and implement enhancements to improve system performance and user experience.

Requirements

• Education :

o Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

o SAP MDM or SAP FI / CO certification is a plus.

o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SAP MDM, with a focus on Finance and Controlling.

o Proven experience in managing and analyzing financial master data in SAP systems.

o Strong understanding of SAP FI / CO modules and their integration with MDM.

o Proficiency in SAP MDM tools (SAP MDG, SAP Information Steward, SAP Data Services).

o Knowledge of SAP S / 4HANA and its implications for master data management.

o Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.

o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
