Service & Maintenance Manager - Expat

Our client, a leading power generation company based in VI, Lagos, is currently seeking an Expat Service & Maintenance Manager. This role will ensure reliable performance of diesel and gas generators by leading maintenance operations, managing service teams, optimizing preventive maintenance programs, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role will incorporate a mix of commercial and operational activities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel and gas generators.
  

• Implement corrective actions for faults and recurring issues.
  

• Supervise technicians and field engineers; assign tasks and monitor performance.
  

• Organize technical training to improve diagnostic and repair capabilities.
  

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-system faults.
  

• Provide expert guidance on complex technical issues.
  

• Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements in service delivery.
  

• Manage maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective repairs.
  

• Ensure compliance with Nigerian regulatory standards and environmental guidelines.
  

• Prepare periodic reports on performance, downtime, costs, and improvement initiatives.
  

Requirements

• BS / HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  
• 5+ years experience in service delivery and maintenance in Lagos
  
• Proven leadership capabilities and managing technicians across multiple sites
  
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• COREN certification is a plus
