Job Summary

• To develop and mature OML 30 field development plans with the aim of growing asset production to at least 100Kbopd.
• The successful candidate will join a competent team of geoscientists responsible for integrating multidisciplinary data to generate and mature near-, mid- and long-term oil adding opportunities.
• He / she will mainly work in the Subsurface team and with the Petroleum Engineering Functions to address technical deliverables as assigned by the team leadership.

Key Accountabilities

• Supervise and participate in geological reservoir studies aimed at constructing and/or improving geological models.
• Apply state of the art interpretation and evaluation technology in the delivery of integrated, predictive subsurface/geological models in line with the industry best practice. Sound and working knowledge of seismic, production and reservoir geological processes is a must.
• Integrate seismic & well information and working with petrophysicists as required to define stratigraphic frameworks and the properties of target reservoirs. This will include deliverables such as maps, correlation panels and structural cross-sections.
• Deliver first class geological support to workover and drilling operations.
• Work closely with Reservoir Engineers and Production Technologists to deliver robust history-matched dynamic models.
• Ensure that new well and workover proposals have a solid geological basis. Timely delivery of robust and technically excellent subsurface studies and development plans.
• Coordinate and validate the preparation of geological requirements and predictions of exploration, appraisal and development wells.
• Provide critical input to field data gathering and reservoir monitoring programs.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive databases of data gathered in conjunction with Geoscience team members.
• Evaluate and communicate geological uncertainties feeding into additional data acquisition plans and capture in uncertainty analysis and reservoir modelling.
• Prepare and present professional-quality presentation materials internally to technical peers and management, and externally to partners (JV, government and other third parties).
• Coach, mentor and develop young geoscientists on relevant skills.

Requirements
Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geophysics or Petroleum Geosciences. Advanced degrees will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years in Production Geoscience, Reservoir modelling and Field Development Planning and well execution, gained preferably from working for an oil and gas operating company.age.

• Strong skill in Seismic interpretation, reservoir modelling. Ability to convert FDPs into well proposals.
