Job Description

• Responsible for the strategic oversight of store/inventory operations and financial management, ensuring robust internal controls, accurate reporting, and alignment of stock and financial processes with organizational goals across the business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end store/inventory operations including procurement coordination, receiving, storage, and stock control
• Lead financial operations related to store activities — budgeting, cost analysis, and expense management
• Develop and enforce internal controls to prevent stock loss, fraud, and financial discrepancies
• Review and approve stock requisitions, purchase orders, and financial vouchers
• Prepare comprehensive financial and inventory reports for senior management/board
• Conduct variance analysis on stock consumption vs. financial expenditure
• Lead periodic audits and reconciliations of stock and financial records
• Supervise and mentor store and junior finance/store staff
• Drive process improvements and cost optimization strategies
• Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, tax obligations, and company policy
• Liaise with auditors, senior management, and other departments on store-finance matters

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (required)
• Professional certification strongly preferred (ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
• A Master's degree (MBA or related) is an added advantage

Experience:

• Minimum of 6–8 years' progressive experience in store/inventory and financial operations, with at least 3 years in a senior/managerial capacity
• Proven track record of managing multi-unit or multi-branch stock and financial operations preferred

Skills:

• Advanced financial management and analytical skills
• Strong inventory/supply chain management expertise
• Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel
• Strategic thinking and decision-making
• Strong leadership and people management
• High-level reporting and presentation skills
• Risk management and internal controls expertise
