Job Summary

• The Finance & Accounts Manager will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing valuable insights to support the company's financial decision-making process. Other responsibilities that will help to achieve this include:

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Analyze financial data and prepare regular financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights on the company's financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring adherence to financial goals and targets.
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns, including corporate tax, VAT, pension remittances, payroll tax, etc., ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory bodies and legislation.
• Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
• Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow projections, and make recommendations to optimize cash management and maintain adequate liquidity.
• Utilize ERP software and accounting tools effectively to streamline accounting processes, maintain data accuracy, and improve overall efficiency.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures and ensure adherence to accounting standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other team members, such as project team, QS team, HR, etc., to provide financial guidance, support decision-making, and facilitate effective resource allocation.

Requirements
Below are the qualifications and requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ICAN) and M.Sc. is an added advantage.
• 7-10 years work experience as an Accountant, preferably in the construction or engineering industry with at least 3 years management/supervisory level.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting/financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, ERP systems).
• Familiarity with construction-specific accounting practices (e.g., project accounting, job costing) is highly desirable
