Location: Apata / Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

• Teach Technical Drawing and Basic Technology effectively across the appropriate secondary school levels.
• Prepare engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, practical activities, tests, assignments and examinations.
• Demonstrate and supervise practical skills, technical drawing exercises and workshop-related activities.
• Use appropriate teaching methods and educational technology to improve students’ understanding and performance.
• Assess students’ academic progress and maintain accurate records of results and continuous assessments.
• Prepare students adequately for internal and external examinations.
• Maintain a safe, organised and functional technical drawing/workshop learning environment.
• Identify students’ learning needs and provide appropriate academic support.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, school activities, clubs, projects and other assigned duties.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and management to achieve the academic goals of the school.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Technical Education, Technical Drawing, Basic Technology, Engineering Education, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant teaching experience in Technical Drawing and/or Basic Technology.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary school curriculum and examination requirements.
• Demonstrable ability to teach both theoretical and practical aspects of the subjects.
• Good classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use computers and relevant educational/technical software is an advantage.
• Must be committed, responsible, innovative and passionate about students’ academic development.
• Must reside in Ibadan or be located within a reasonable distance from Ibadan.
• Candidates must be willing to work effectively within a structured school environment.
