Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to support the finance and accounting functions of the organization.
• The successful candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Perform bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.
• Assist with payroll preparation and related accounting entries.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Assist with budgeting, expense monitoring, and financial analysis.
• Support the preparation of audit schedules and provide requested documentation.
• Ensure accounting records comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Identify discrepancies and assist in resolving accounting issues.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting.
• Must have completed NYSC.
• 1 - 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
