Job Requirements

• First degree in Electrical Engineering; a postgraduate qualification in power systems engineering or management fields is required B.Sc., B.Eng., or HND
• Possession of certifications in Engineering is required; Membership in a professional body is required e.g., NSE, COREN.
• At least 7+ years of varied maintenance and operational experience in the Power or Telecommunications Sector. At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role

Job Responsibility

• Coordinates the activities of the technical crew in carrying out technical operations at the Business Hub to ensure high reliability/availability of the network.
• Ensures technical assets and equipment function optimally (transformers, cables, etc.)
• Ensure prompt response to customer complaints about network / technical aspects.
• Oversees the update route length of 33/11/0.415kV networks.
• Ensures all field activities are carried out according to safety standards.
• Escalates network and equipment failures that cannot be resolved at the Business Hub to the regional office.
• Monitors contractors to ensure that work or services delivered conform with IBEDC specifications.
• Ensures optimal control of power supply to customers in line with the Serviced Tariff. (Energy Management).
• Prepares regular and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Perform any other sundry assignments as requested by the Technical Manager/ BHM.
