Summary

• The Primary 4 Teacher will provide effective teaching and learning experiences, maintain a positive classroom environment, and support pupils' academic, social, moral, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the school curriculum and scheme of work.
• Prepare lesson plans, lesson notes, instructional materials, assignments, classwork, and assessments.
• Teach and assess pupils effectively across assigned subjects.
• Monitor pupils’ academic progress and provide appropriate support where necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupils’ attendance, assessments, performance, and general development.
• Manage the classroom effectively and maintain a safe, orderly, and conducive learning environment.
• Encourage pupils to develop good study habits, confidence, discipline, responsibility, and positive values.
• Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate intervention and support.
• Communicate professionally with parents/guardians regarding pupils’ academic performance and general welfare.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, school programmes, extracurricular activities, and other assigned duties.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and members of the school management team.
• Ensure that pupils follow the school’s rules, policies, routines, and standards of conduct.
• Set, mark, and record continuous assessments, tests, examinations, and other academic activities.
• Provide constructive feedback to pupils to help improve their learning and performance.
• Maintain professional standards in appearance, conduct, punctuality, classroom management, and interaction with pupils and colleagues.
• Perform other reasonable teaching and administrative duties assigned by the school management.

• Basic computer literacy is an advantage.
