Role Description

• The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting effective financial management across NCDF Group. The role includes working with international subsidiaries, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling bank and ledger accounts, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• The Accountant will prepare financial reports, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Day-to-day tasks also involve monitoring cash flow, supporting audits, responding to internal and external financial queries, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide clear financial insights.
• The ideal candidate will contribute to strengthening financial discipline and transparency within the Group’s broader capital and execution platform.

Qualifications

• Strong core accounting capabilities, including general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
• Experience with tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and audit support, including familiarity with Nigerian financial regulations and standards.
• Competence in using accounting and ERP software, as well as MS Excel and other analytical tools for data management and reporting.
• Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate, timely records under defined controls.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and present financial information clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACA, ACCA) is highly beneficial.
• Relevant experience in corporate, investment, or financial services environments, ideally with exposure to capital markets or institutional platforms.
