Key Roles and Duties
Overall Hotel Operations:
- Supervise daily hotel operations and ensure all departments function effectively.
- Coordinate activities between departments.
- Ensure the hotel operates according to approved policies, standards, and SOPs.
- Monitor operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
Staff Management:
- Supervise department heads and operational staff.
- Prepare duty schedules and ensure adequate staffing.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, discipline, and performance.
- Conduct staff briefings and operational meetings.
- Identify training needs and coordinate staff training.
- Recommend promotions, disciplinary actions, or restructuring where necessary.
Guest Experience:
- Ensure excellent guest service throughout the hotel.
- Handle and resolve guest complaints professionally.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure rooms, facilities, restaurant, bar, and other guest areas meet required standards.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and customer satisfaction.
Front Office & Reservations:
- Monitor check-in, check-out, reservations, room allocation, and guest records.
- Ensure effective communication between Front Office and Housekeeping.
- Monitor occupancy, room availability, and daily revenue reports.
- Ensure proper handling of VIPs, corporate guests, and special requests.
Housekeeping & Rooms Division:
- Ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean and properly maintained.
- Monitor room inspection standards.
- Ensure effective linen, laundry, amenities, and housekeeping supplies management.
- Work closely with the Executive Housekeeper to maintain room standards.
Food & Beverage Operations:
- Supervise restaurant, bar, kitchen, banqueting, and room-service operations.
- Monitor food and beverage quality and service standards.
- Ensure proper stock control and reduction of wastage.
- Monitor F&B sales, costs, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and food-safety requirements.
Maintenance & Facilities:
- Coordinate with the Maintenance/Engineering team to ensure facilities are operational.
- Follow up on repairs, preventive maintenance, power supply, water systems, air-conditioning, plumbing, and other facilities.
- Ensure maintenance issues affecting guests are resolved promptly.
Financial & Cost Control:
- Monitor departmental expenses and operational costs.
- Reduce unnecessary wastage and leakages.
- Monitor daily sales and revenue reports.
- Ensure proper control of hotel assets, inventory, and supplies.
- Work with the Accountant/Finance team to improve profitability.
Security & Risk Management:
- Ensure adequate security arrangements for guests, staff, property, and assets.
- Monitor incident reports and ensure proper investigation and documentation.
- Ensure emergency procedures and safety measures are implemented.
- Follow up on fire safety, CCTV, access control, and other security matters.
Quality Control & Standards:
- Conduct regular inspections of the hotel.
- Ensure staff comply with grooming, service, hygiene, and operational standards.
- Develop and enforce SOPs where necessary.
- Monitor departmental performance against agreed targets.
Reporting & Administration:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Review departmental reports and identify operational challenges.
- Report major issues and recommendations to the General Manager/Management.
- Maintain proper documentation and operational records.
Sales & Business Development Support:
- Support the Sales and Marketing team in increasing occupancy and revenue.
- Build relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, event planners, and other business partners.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
- Assist management in developing promotions and revenue-generating initiatives.

Requirements
- Candidates must reside in Aba or Port Harcourt.
- Relevant hospitality experience is required.
- Candidates must be ready to work professionally and demonstrate good leadership and communication skills.
Remuneration
- Salary: N250,000 Monthly
