Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and proactive MEP Electrical Engineer to oversee the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems across our residential, commercial, and building projects.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all high and low-voltage systems, lighting, power distribution, and auxiliary electrical services are executed efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with project specifications and relevant engineering codes.

Key Responsibilities

• System Review & Design Integration: Review electrical engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, schematic layouts, and technical specifications for building services.
• Site Supervision & Quality Assurance: Supervise on-site electrical installations (conduiting, cabling, switchgear installation, distribution boards, and lighting) to ensure adherence to approved designs and quality standards.
• Cost Estimation & Material Specification: Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material takeoff lists, and equipment specifications for electrical power distribution, backup generators, and low-current systems.
• Subcontractor & Workforce Management: Direct and supervise sub-contractors, electricians, and technicians to ensure safety compliance and timely completion of electrical milestones.
• Testing & Commissioning: Oversee insulation testing, continuity testing, load testing, and commissioning of all electrical installations prior to project handover.
• Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Work closely with mechanical/plumbing engineers, civil engineers, architects, and project managers to prevent design clashes and ensure smooth MEP integration.
• Reporting & Compliance: Conduct regular inspections, prepare progress reports, flag technical discrepancies, and ensure compliance with local electrical safety regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./B.Eng.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in MEP electrical installation, design, and site supervision.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or other electrical design/drafting software.
• Solid knowledge of low voltage (LV) power distribution, lighting design, earthing/lightning protection, power generators, and low-current systems (CCTV, fire alarm, access control).
• Strong understanding of standard electrical codes and safety regulations (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations / local codes).

Soft Skills:

• Strong technical troubleshooting abilities, project management capacity, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
