Job Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, operate, and maintain broadcast equipment and systems.
- Maintain cameras, vision mixers/switchers, audio consoles, microphones, monitors, recorders, encoders, decoders, intercom systems, and related equipment.
- Ensure all studio and broadcast equipment is properly connected, configured, and operational.
- Monitor the performance and condition of technical equipment and systems.
- Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance of broadcast equipment.
- Provide technical support for live broadcasts, studio productions, recordings, events, and outside broadcasts.
- Set up and test technical equipment before production or transmission.
- Ensure that audio and video signals meet required quality standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during productions and implement immediate solutions to minimize disruption.
- Carry out repairs and replacements where technically appropriate.
- Conduct regular testing and calibration of equipment.
- Assist in setting up studios, control rooms, and editing suites
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all technical equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in broadcast engineering, studio engineering, telecommunications, or a related technical environment.
- Experience working with professional broadcast and studio equipment.
- Practical experience with live production, transmission, and/or streaming systems is highly desirable.
- Experience troubleshooting audio, video, networking, and broadcast equipment.
- Experience working with studio/production equipment will be an added advantage.
- Relevant professional certifications in broadcast technology, networking, electronics, or engineering are an advantage.
