Role Description

• The Plant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kano State, Nigeria, responsible for leading day-to-day operations of the rice mill. This role oversees production planning, manufacturing processes, and plant operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency targets are consistently met.
• The Plant Manager coordinates and supervises staff, manages workflow, monitors equipment performance, and enforces compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Daily tasks include optimizing production schedules, managing inventory and raw materials, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The role collaborates with farm, logistics, and quality teams to support timely delivery of finished products and maintain strong performance across the entire supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/HND in Engineering, Production Management, Operations Management, Food Science, Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in plant, manufacturing, production, agro-processing, FMCG or a related industry.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a managerial or senior supervisory role.
• Experience in rice milling, food processing or agro-processing is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in improving production efficiency, yield, equipment reliability and cost effectiveness.
