Job description

Behind every thriving retail network is a strategic leader who bridges commercial vision with operational excellence, driving profitability, elevated experiences, and team growth. That's the Regional Sales Manager we're searching for at a premier children's fashion retail brand delivering vibrant, high-quality clothing and memorable shopping experiences across Nigeria.

In this role, you will champion the brand's commercial engine across assigned store territories, optimizing multi-site retail operations, fostering high-performing store teams, and building high-impact community partnerships to accelerate growth.

Who are we looking for?

  • You are a commercial powerhouse. You take total ownership of multi-store sales targets, basket size, and average order value (AOV) to maximize regional ROI.
  • You are an operational perfectionist. You maintain uncompromising SOP, visual merchandising, and inventory control standards across all stores to eliminate shrink and uphold brand prestige.
  • You are a strategic networker. You proactively initiate and execute partnerships with schools, activity centers, social clubs, and premium organizations to unlock new revenue streams and customer acquisition channels.
  • You are a customer experience champion. You leverage NPS, CRM insights, and fast SLA resolution to ensure every family receives a premium, delightful retail experience.
  • You are a developer of leaders. You mentor Store Leads and Assistant Store Leads, building a culture of accountability, succession readiness, and high productivity.
  • You are an analytical decision-maker. You track conversion rates, audit scores, and market intelligence to deploy targeted regional action plans.

Your Responsibilities…

Sales Performance & Revenue Growth

  • You will deliver regional sales targets across all assigned stores, maximizing regional portfolio profitability and ROI.
  • You will monitor footfall trends, drive store conversion rates, and execute strategies to increase basket size and Average Order Value (AOV).
  • You will analyze regional performance gaps and deploy targeted commercial action plans to capitalize on market opportunities.

Business Performance & Operational Excellence

  • You will drive cost control initiatives, ensure full compliance with SOPs, and maintain elevated visual merchandising standards across all locations.
  • You will oversee inventory control processes, stock accuracy, and loss prevention measures to minimize shrinkage and business risk.
  • You will conduct periodic store operational audits to elevate efficiency scores and resource utilization.

Strategic Partnerships & Customer Experience

  • You will identify, secure, and manage strategic partnerships with premium schools, entertainment centers, social clubs, and high-net-worth communities to drive brand visibility and acquisition.
  • You will expand the customer database, strengthen loyalty initiatives, and maintain elevated Net Promoter Scores (NPS).
  • You will track partnership performance to ensure agreed community activations deliver measurable commercial value.

Talent Management & Governance

  • You will lead, coach, and build succession pipelines for Store Leads (SLs) and Assistant Store Leads (ASLs).
  • You will partner with HR to optimize workforce planning, staff productivity, sales-per-employee metrics, and regional team retention.
  • You will deliver market intelligence, key commercial KPI reports, and business reviews to executive leadership while collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.

What Success looks like…

  • Target Achievement: Consistently meeting or exceeding regional sales revenue, conversion rate, and profit targets across all assigned stores.
  • Operational Precision: Achieving high audit compliance scores across all store locations alongside a measurable reduction in shrinkage and stock variance.
  • Partnership ROI: Successfully establishing strategic partnerships with institutions and community groups that generate steady, new revenue streams.
  • Leadership Development: Building an active, ready succession pipeline for store leadership positions while maintaining high team engagement scores.

To be considered for this role you should have…

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field (A Master’s degree or professional certification is an advantage).
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Retail, Sales Operations, Commercial Operations, or Multi-site Store Management.
  • A proven track record of managing regional sales performance, store operations, and multi-unit retail teams.
  • Demonstrated success in creating B2B/community partnerships and managing high-net-worth customer engagement strategies.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and leadership capabilities with expertise in inventory management, shrinkage reduction, and staff productivity tracking.

Challenges you may face in this role…

  • Multi-Site Alignment: Maintaining consistent operational, customer service, and visual merchandising standards across geographically dispersed stores.
  • Conversion Optimization: Consistently driving footfall conversion and basket size during shifting economic cycles.
  • Partnership Execution: Nurturing partnerships with external institutions to ensure long-term commercial returns rather than one-off brand exposure.

The Goodies…

  • Competitive compensation package with performance-driven commercial incentives.
  • High-visibility regional leadership role within a household fashion retail brand.
  • Dynamic, supportive, and growth-oriented corporate environment.
  • Direct strategic impact on retail footprint expansion, workforce development, and customer acquisition.
