You will develop the 0-24-month IBP forecast by brand and at the stock keeping unit(SKU) level. You will coordinate challenge and influence building block with input from salesmarketing and other addition you will review the disaggregated short-term demand planwhich includes SKU/location mix and weekly pacing. Finally youwill provide the finalized detailed demandplan by SKU to supply planners and adjust it based on feedback fromsupply planners or commercial teams.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Contribute to the demand management cycle of theintegrated business planning (IBP) process for your categories and to strategyand structure discussions
  • Liaise with the commercial and operational teams and develop ways tocontinuously improve communication between the functions to support the delivery ofthe business KPIs for their families
  • Manage forecast compilation process which includes owning the short-termweekly plan and the long-term forecast (three or more months)
  • Interact with modelling team to generate statistical forecasting
  • Participate in the integrated business planning process and manage thedemand planning tool
  • Perform root-cause analysis for continuous plan improvement for key serviceissues forecast error and bias and share output with appropriate leadership

  • Experience in a fast-moving consumer goods or consumer packaged goods environment preferably in food or other fast moving dynamicindustry where shelf life is a constraint
  • Experience within an IBP/S&OP environment
  • Able to influence cross-functional teams working on priorities and improving theplan
  • Excellent problem-solving skills analytical skills and able to understand and interpretdata
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player who can work with many other functions on a daily basis

What you need to know about this position:

The Demand planning Manager is responsible for Forecasting customer demand to ensure the business can meet sales and service goals while maintaining efficient inventory levels. Its a cross functional role that connects various departments across the organization.

To excel in Demand planning its not just about the tools and data but also the unique characteristics and mindset you bring to the table. You need to be able to work collaboratively and bridge the Gap with various departments (sales finance supply etc.) have a natural drive to dig deeper than the numbers be adaptable & detail oriented and have a continuous improvement mentality.

Education / Certifications:

Bachelors degree in supply/logistics management or similar degree.

Job specific requirements:

  • Experience with forecasting methods and planning techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities data driven mindset
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Familiarity with Demand planning systems and data analysis
  • Detail orientated (to be able to interpret data and spot trends anomalies etc within the data)
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of supply chain principles inventory managements and the financial impact of demand planning
  • Organizational and time management skills
