Spare Parts Manager- Automobile

Position: Parts Manager Location: Nigeria Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Parts Manager from the Automobile/Automotive industry to manage the complete parts function, including procurement, inventory management, parts availability, warehouse operations, and coordination with the service and sales teams. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of automobile spare parts, inventory control, and dealer/workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete automobile spare parts department, including procurement, inventory, storage, and distribution.
• Ensure timely availability of spare parts for service, workshop, and customer requirements.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid both stock-outs and excess/obsolete inventory.
• Coordinate with suppliers, dealers, OEMs, and internal teams for parts procurement and availability.
• Monitor parts ordering, receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance.
• Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and ensure proper documentation.
• Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving parts and take appropriate corrective action.
• Coordinate closely with the Service Manager, Service Engineers, Workshop Technicians, and Sales Team.
• Ensure proper identification and application of parts for different automobile models.
• Monitor parts consumption, demand forecasting, and replenishment requirements.
• Handle parts warranty, returns, claims, and replacement processes.
• Ensure proper warehouse organization and adherence to FIFO/stock rotation practices.
• Prepare and monitor reports related to inventory, sales, purchases, stock ageing, and parts consumption.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate for competitive pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
