Job Description

• The Spy Police Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, timely, and discreet transportation services to designated personnel.
• The role requires strong driving skills, security awareness, confidentiality, and proper care of assigned vehicles while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable traffic regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Driving:

• Transport designated personnel safely and professionally to meetings, work locations, project sites, airports, and other approved destinations.
• Practise defensive and security-conscious driving at all times.
• Plan and select appropriate routes while considering traffic, road conditions, and journey schedules.
• Ensure punctual pick-up and drop-off of passengers.
• Remain alert and observant throughout journeys and promptly report any unusual or potentially unsafe situations.

Security & Confidentiality:

• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding passengers, destinations, schedules, company activities, and other sensitive information.
• Exercise discretion when interacting with passengers, staff, clients, and members of the public.
• Follow established security and transportation procedures when moving designated personnel.
• Maintain a high level of situational awareness and professionalism while on duty.

Vehicle Management:

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, presentable, properly maintained, and roadworthy.
• Monitor fuel, tyres, engine oil, brakes, lights, battery, coolant, and other essential vehicle components.
• Report vehicle faults, accidents, breakdowns, or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Ensure scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance are carried out on time.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.

Compliance & General Support:

• Ensure vehicle registration, insurance, roadworthiness, and other required documents remain valid.
• Comply with all applicable road traffic laws, HSE requirements, and company transportation policies.
• Assist with approved errands, document deliveries, and other transportation-related duties when required.
• Support the Administration/Security team as assigned.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Nigerian Driver’s Licence.
• Minimum of 3 years’ professional driving experience.
• Previous experience as a corporate, executive, security, or police driver is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of local routes and navigation systems.
• Knowledge of defensive driving and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional under pressure.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, discipline, punctuality, and reliability.
• Clean and responsible driving record.
