Learning and Development Lead

• Learning Strategy & Academy Leadership: Lead the Learning Academys vision structure curriculum and delivery model ensuring alignment with business strategy workforce planning and future capability needs.
• Learning Needs & Programme Planning: Partner with senior leaders to identify capability gaps leadership readiness and succession needs translating these insights into targeted learning strategies academy pathways and the annual L&D calendar.
• Digital Learning & Programme Design: Lead digital and e-learning initiatives and design blended instructor-led cohort-based and on-the-job learning programmes including onboarding functional capability critical-role and leadership development journeys.
• Learning Content & LMS Management: Develop and continuously improve learning content using modern instructional design approaches while managing the LMS as the core platform for learning delivery access tracking and reporting.
• Facilitation & Faculty Management: Facilitate academy programmes workshops and leadership sessions; build internal facilitation capability; and manage external facilitators faculty and learning vendors.
• Learning Culture & Stakeholder Engagement: Champion a strong learning culture across the organisation and collaborate with HR Business Partners Talent and Recruitment teams to drive an integrated approach to capability development.
• Governance Budget & Compliance: Manage the L&D and Academy budget optimise learning spend and ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
• Analytics & Reporting: Measure and report on learning participation completion engagement outcomes and business impact using data to demonstrate programme effectiveness and ROI.

Education & Professional Credentials

• Degree in a relevant discipline with professional certification such as CIPD ATD CPTD or coaching accreditation required.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years hands-on Learning & Development experience within an organisational setting.
• Proven experience designing delivering and scaling learning or academy-style programmes with measurable business outcomes.
• Experience independently managing an L&D function Learning Academy or sub-function including budget and vendor management.
• Experience in fast-paced high-growth corporate or scale-up environments with proven ability to facilitate both in-person and virtual learning programmes.

Skills & Core Capabilities

• Strong instructional design facilitation presentation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences including senior leaders.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify capability gaps evaluate learning impact and drive data-informed decisions.

Technical & Digital Capability

• Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and strong knowledge of adult learning theory and contemporary L&D practices.
• Digitally savvy with the ability to leverage technology to scale learning programmes and enhance the learner experience.
