Role Impact
As a Rig Supervisor III, you will serve as the company representative on-site, providing the technical oversight necessary to ensure the safe and efficient execution of well plans. This role is pivotal to the integrity of Kimeric Group’s project delivery, tasking you with mitigating operational hazards, coordinating complex logistics, and upholding the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. You will act as the primary liaison for rig and third-party personnel to facilitate seamless operational success.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight: Monitor rig operations to provide critical feedback to contractors, ensuring strict adherence to well control procedures and effective management of emergency situations.
Safety Leadership: Drive a culture of safety by communicating SSHE expectations, conducting mandatory safety/security/environmental drills at prescribed frequencies, and providing guidance during SSHE events.
Technical Compliance: Ensure all drilling and completion procedures are followed as approved; utilize management of change processes when necessary to maintain project integrity.
Logistics & Coordination: Manage and organize the logistics for all equipment and services required for drilling and completion operations.
Surveillance & Reporting: Support onsite surveillance requirements, including kick detection, abnormal pressure detection, torque & drag analysis, mud properties, and solids control efficiency.
Collaboration: Interface directly with engineering and geology teams to align on well objectives and procedural requirements while generating accurate, timely operations reports.
Systems Management: Communicate and uphold expectations related to oi Systems (oi) on the rig site.
Requirements
Experience: 10+ years of demonstrated experience in rig supervisory or leadership roles for drilling and completion operations, gained while working for a major Operator or Drilling Contractor.
Certification: Current Well Control certification is mandatory.
Expertise: Deep knowledge of rig surveillance, emergency response, and the coordination of third-party personnel and project logistics.
What We Offer
Compensation: NGN 200,000 - 250,000 daily.
