Main Functions

The Drilling / Well Intervention Subsea Advisor III provides technical advice and oversight on discipline engineering work performed by internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. The role facilitates the effective execution of engineering and design activities, supports team objectives, and ensures timely communication across project teams and company functions while applying strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Company representative for subsea trees, hangers, wellheads, and subsea pressure control equipment during drilling, completion, and well intervention activities.

  • Lead the coordination of Surface Integrity Tests (SITs), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Extended Factory Acceptance Tests (EFAT), and equipment recertification activities.

  • Coordinate subsea equipment and ROV aspects of drilling, completion, and well intervention risk assessments.

  • Prepare brownfield survey plans and procedures for the deployment and retrieval of subsea equipment, including ROV tooling procedures.

  • Monitor subsea equipment and ROV service providers, provide project management support, and troubleshoot subsea pressure control equipment issues.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a closely related role.

  • Extensive knowledge of subsea completions, workover, and light well intervention units, including semi-submersibles, jack-ups, and multipurpose vessels.

  • Experience managing subsea project interfaces, including simultaneous drilling and production procedures and integration with other subsea systems.

  • Knowledge of emerging subsea completion and workover technologies and the ability to apply industry best practices.

  • Experience in subsea hydraulic modelling, well surveillance, well testing, multiphase metering, subsea production optimization, artificial lift systems, and flow assurance.

  • Strong organizational, technical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to positively influence drilling personnel, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and offshore/onshore environments.

  • High ethical standards and ability to perform in challenging work environments with changing priorities.

  • Willingness to travel and work away from home for extended periods.
