Civil Engineer

Plan supervise and coordinate all civil engineering and building construction activities from project commencement to completion.
Interpret and implement architectural structural mechanical electrical and civil engineering drawings and specifications.
Oversee site setting-out surveys and layout preparation to ensure accuracy before construction activities commence.
Supervise and coordinate site engineers builders contractors subcontractors artisans labourers and other site personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
Monitor project schedules and ensure construction activities are completed within approved timelines and budgets.
Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings technical specifications the National Building Code and relevant engineering standards.
Conduct routine site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with quality safety and project requirements.
Manage construction materials equipment and labour resources efficiently to minimise waste and optimise project costs.
Implement and enforce Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and ensure compliance across all project sites.
Coordinate consultants contractors suppliers and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth project execution.
Review contractors work certify completed works where applicable and monitor adherence to contractual obligations.
Identify engineering challenges project risks and construction delays and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Prepare work programmes project schedules progress reports technical documentation and management updates.
Provide technical support for infrastructure works building maintenance renovations and engineering consultancy assignments where required.
Ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality within budget and in accordance with agreed timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree (./.) in Civil Engineering.
  
• Registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) is mandatory.
  
• Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is required.
  
• Minimum of 1015 years progressive experience in civil engineering building construction and construction project management.
  
• Must possess extensive hands-on experience supervising building construction projects with responsibilities including site coordination quality control interpretation of architectural and structural drawings contractor management and project delivery from foundation to completion.
  
• Proven experience delivering residential estates commercial developments high-rise buildings and mixed-use developments.
  
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple construction teams and large-scale projects simultaneously.
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
