COST CONTROL LEAD - Port Harcourt

Job Title:COST CONTROL LEAD Sector: Oil & Gas Servicing (EPC) Workmode: Fulltime (Onsite) Location: Port Harcourt Job Purpose: Cost controller is responsible for overseeing and managing the project cost of enterprise overheads, ensuring that it stays within budget. This job requires a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, as well as the ability to analyse data and identify areas where costs can be reduced or optimized. Job Duties: Collection of Project wise cost information from various accounting records Information to be complied with cost center and sub-cost center wise for the projects. Collection of overhead details Monitor overhead absorption rates are in line with budget and report for under/over absorption. Monthly MIS preparation includes preparation of actual costs for each project under different heads for the period and project inception to date, forecast/estimation of cost to completion in consultation with project team. Comparison of the above with budget and analyze reasons for the variance with operations team. Identifying variance due to price changes, quantity and scope changes Project profitability report for the period, inception to date and forecast to completion. Preparation Project Profitability Report (PPR) and also to date PPR for the financial year. Presentation of milestones achieved and deviations from the budget with reasons. Active participation in budgeting exercise and preparation of budgets Preparation of Cash flow forecasts in coordination with operations team Actively coordinate with head office accounting team, ensure project cost and sub-cost details are captured and recorded properly. Provide necessary information to auditors during audit Compile and provide necessary information to external agencies. Job Requirement: BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree Additional Accounting certification is a plus Minimum of 5 years' Work experience as an Accountant Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets
