Remuneration: ₦600,000 – ₦800,000 Monthly Gross

Role Summary
Our client is seeking a technically proficient IT Systems Administrator to manage and maintain its IT infrastructure, core banking applications, network environment, and technology support services. The role will ensure system availability, security, data protection, and effective user support while contributing to business continuity and technology improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Systems Administration

• Manage and maintain servers, networks, workstations, operating systems, and other IT infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Administer user accounts, access rights, permissions, and system configurations.
• Ensure IT infrastructure remains reliable, secure, and fit for business operations.

Core Banking Systems

• Support the administration and smooth operation of core banking applications.
• Monitor system availability, functionality, and performance.
• Coordinate with vendors and technical partners on system upgrades, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Ensure appropriate system controls and user access are maintained.

Cybersecurity & Network Security

• Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls across the organization's technology environment.
• Protect systems, networks, and business data against unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats.
• Monitor security alerts and support investigation and resolution of incidents.
• Promote adherence to IT security policies and access-control procedures.

Backup & Business Continuity

• Manage scheduled system and data backups and regularly verify backup integrity.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
• Participate in testing of recovery procedures to ensure critical systems can be restored when required.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of backup and recovery procedures.

User Support & IT Service Delivery

• Provide timely technical support to employees across the organization.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and access-related issues.
• Maintain records of IT incidents, resolutions, and recurring technical problems.
• Provide guidance to users on appropriate technology and security practices.

IT Monitoring & Documentation

• Monitor infrastructure performance, system availability, and network health.
• Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, licenses, and system procedures.
• Support IT audits and provide required technical information and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education Bachelor's Degree in:

• Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional certifications in IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, or systems administration will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Relevant experience in IT systems administration, preferably within banking, microfinance, fintech, or financial services.
• Practical experience administering core banking applications.
• Demonstrable knowledge of network infrastructure and cybersecurity.
• Experience with system backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Strong experience providing technical support to users within a business environment.
