Remuneration: ₦200,000 – ₦300,000 Monthly Gross

Role Summary
Our client is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Teller to handle daily cash and customer transactions while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with established banking procedures. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for customers and ensure smooth processing of deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other branch transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Cash & Transaction Processing

• Process customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other approved cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Receive, count, verify, and disburse cash in accordance with established procedures.
• Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and supported by the required documentation.
• Balance cash holdings and transaction records at the end of each business day.
• Immediately report cash discrepancies, irregularities, or suspected fraudulent transactions to the appropriate supervisor.

Customer Service

• Provide professional and courteous service to customers across all teller transactions.
• Respond to routine customer enquiries and provide accurate information on available banking services.
• Assist customers with transaction-related issues and escalate complex complaints where necessary.
• Maintain a positive customer experience while ensuring compliance with operational procedures.

Compliance & Controls

• Adhere strictly to cash handling, KYC, AML, and internal control procedures.
• Verify customer information and transaction documentation before processing transactions.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information and financial records.
• Identify and escalate unusual or suspicious transactions in line with applicable procedures.

Records & Branch Support

• Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure proper filing of relevant documents.
• Support daily branch reconciliation and transaction verification activities.
• Assist with branch operational activities as assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure teller workstation.

Requirements
Education

• OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• Relevant banking or financial services training will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 1–2 years of experience in teller operations, cash handling, customer service, banking, microfinance, or a related financial services environment.
• Strong numerical and cash-handling abilities.
• Good understanding of basic banking transactions and customer service procedures.
• Ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.
